This Weekend at

The Knitter's Edge

400 Hats?????

The big news today is that as of 9:00 PM Thursday night- we are at 376 Hats for the Homeless! I feel very confident that we can make it to 400 hats. An amazing number! Please help us get there- there is still time to turn in some hats. 4 prizes will be drawn on Tuesday night Feb 2. You can bring in hats anytime up to Tuesday night before the drawing.

General Knitting and New Cowls

Steph will guide you through some new Spring weight cowls like the one shown here. She is just starting work on a new cowl as well as this one. She also has a lot of ideas for additional new ones. You can also work on whatever general knitting project you wish. Steph will help you through it.

It is time for Sam the Ram- Sue the Ewe is getting lonely. Sam can be knitted with several weights of yarn. Your choice.

It's Teddy Time

Come join me to knit this cute sweater & hat set for this adorable teddy.

Class will be priced at a total cost of $20.00. All inclusive! Bring size 7 needles, and 4 stitch markers. I will supply everything else including the teddy bear.

By Saturday I will have another Sweater & Hat set done with a heart on it. (Sweater is done- hat's still on the needles). This is a great beginner project. Enough yarn included to make 2 sweater /hat sets. Call to sign up.

Free Help session on Wednesday afternoons

Starting next week- Steph will lead a session from 4:00 - 6:00 to provide for free (yes free!) help with projects. With as busy as we have been- some days we just don't have enough time to give each and every one of you enough time to fix those small problems. We hope that this Wednesday afternoon session will help.

Linda Miller will once again conduct the ALL DAY
2 handed Fair Isle class on Saturday Feb 27. Her last two classes were sold out- so call soon to reserve your spot. After this class, Linda has agreed to run an advanced Fair Isle class to take your work to the next level.

Some New Stuff!

We have received several new colors in Nuna by Mirasol. This is a DK weight Merino Wool/Silk blend that has a beautiful sheen and lovely drape. Many of our customers have used it very sucessfully for very pretty scarves and shawls- not to mention Odessa hats (with beads) and cowls! (You can never forget the cowls). The 5 new colors expand the palette in a lovely direction.

NEW CROFTER BABY!

The Knitter's Edge has also just received a brand new yarn that we are very excited about. Snuggly DK baby yarn is now available in a new range of colorways called Crofter DK- just like the Crofter self striping yarn that so many are using for the EZ Surprise Baby Jacket. Now you can have the Crofter striping look with Snuggly's softness.

More Future Stuff

ARAN HAT

Linda Miller has selected this Aran Sweater look Hat for a future class project. It is a fun way to learn to work cables- wierd, but cute.

Steph will begin Technique clinics on Saturday afternoons soon- First topic- heel possibilities.

The Olympics are coming next Month - Feb 12- 28 will give you 17 evenings of TV knitting. What a time to make an afghan!! Info coming soon on Afghan ideas- and specials for Olympic knitting.
