Ok we admit it- we goofed today. Or maybe I should say the weather men goofed. We could have and should have been open today. The weather was not that bad, but bad enough to make my snow rage rise up!
Snow rage is the term of the season. It's symptoms include feelings of restlessness, short temper, and just being sick of having to hole up inside due to the snow!
Luckily, one thing that experts say will help you deal with snow rage is to have a calming activity to do while having to be inside. Now I wonder if we can think of something that might fit that description...

Steph has a new springlike cowl that she is working on knit with Hempathy, a wonderful, softly textured, hemp- based yarn. The cowl is beautiful. Hempathy is available in a wide range of muted colors.

It's Teddy Time
I have this outfit completely finished now- pants done too. I have started a dress now for our little teddy. Come join me. If you already have your bear- bring him along and more yarn- Jeannee Worsted will be available. We have more bears if you need one. Bring size 7 needles, and 4 stitch markers. We have everything else. This is a great beginner project. Call to sign up.

HAP'I
HAP'I from the Mirasol collection of fine yarns from Peru is a thick & thin cotton in rich Peruvian colors. I am knitting a 5- hour baby sweater out of it right now (but believe me, it won't be done in 5 hours).
 This is a new book from The Mirasol Collection for Hap'i. The cover sweater is a beautiful wrap jacket.
Amalfi from Debbie Bliss is a chainette cotton/linen/silk blend at a DK/light worsted weight gauge. This will be wonderful for light weight spring garments. Available in soft colors.

Oceanside Organic Baby Booties
Materials: 1 ball of Oceanside Organic
Size: Newborn - 3 months.
Needles: Size 6
Gauge: 5 sts =1" over garter st.
Using size 6 needles cast on 28 sts.
Knit 2 rows.
Next row: (RS). Inc 1 st in first st. Knit to end of row.
Rep last row 5 times more: 34 sts.
Knit 4 rows.
Next row: (RS). K1. K2tog. Knit to end of row.
Rep last row 5 times more: 28 sts.
Shape cuff:
Bind off 4 sts at the beginning of next 2 rows: 20 sts.
Place marker at each end of last row.
Knit 8 rows. Bind off very loosely.
FINISHING
Fold Bootie in half, matching shapings.
Sew foot seam to markers.
Roll cuff at top of bootie.
These booties also fit our Teddy Bear!

Country 8ply & Country 8 ply Silk- now only $3.00 each
Cleckheaton Country 8ply is a wonderful superwash wool. Although it is an 8ply (DK) it works up very well at worsted weight gauge. The 50g balls fill the pool this week- and are available at a bargain price that you shouldn't miss.
