Friday Mornings & Afternoons with Debra

 10:00 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 3:00

Debra would like to offer two projects in her Friday morning and Monday afternoon classes. She thought it would be nice to offer projects that would make nice Valentine's Day gifts for the man in your life.

She plans on doing the scarf shown here in the Friday morning class, and the Manly Man hat in the afternoon class.  She still wants to encourage General knitters to come to work on their projects.

For yarns: We suggest Cashmerino Aran, Worsted Merino Superwash, Encore or Comfort for the scarf. Pur or Encore Chunky are good suggestions for the Manly Man hat- shown here in Pur.

Pat's February socks are coming!!

Pat has chosen a lacey heart pattern called Heart to Heart Socks.  She knit them in a new yarn called Serin- part acrylic, part Viloft- a  Vicose whose flat fiber cross-section gives it excellent thermal insulation properties. The modified cross-section creates air chambers in textiles which act as a buffer against the cold. Textiles made of Viloft have particularly good insulation values and provide lightweight warmth. An ideal fiber for cold weather seasons.

Eileen's February Socks are coming too!!

The Age of Brass and Steam Shawlette is a lovely canvas for Road To China Light's soft subtle colorways.  The Tears of Bronze hat that Joanne knitted up will look very nice in this yarn as well.

 The Ididarow is finally over

Remember the Ididarow Wallaby race?   Well we finally have a winner- and humble she is not!

Amanda's Wallaby looks really nice- with its asymetric striping on the sleeve.   She added thumb holes at the cuffs to keep her hands warm.  Amanda knit her Wallaby out of Worsted Merino Superwash.  She wore it all day yesterday and commented on how warm it was.  This is a great pattern and a great yarn.

CONGRATS AMANDA!!

While we all watch the game (and the commercials) lets try to get some knitting done.  I have 2 special washcloths available for game day knitting.  They both work well in Fantasy Naturale!
